Preparing your lobster tails
Since your lobster tails will arrive frozen you will need to unthaw them. The best way to thaw your lobster tails is to place them in the refrigerator overnight (this method will require 12-18 hours). If you need to thaw them for dinner the day the package arrives, we suggest placing the frozen tails in a bowl and running cold water into the bowl (this method should take an hour or less). We do not recommend thawing frozen seafood in the microwave. If you have any questions on preparation, please see our seafood recipes or feel free to call us at 1-800-556-2783.
Frozen lobster tails can be placed in the freezer upon arrival if you want to enjoy your 6-7oz. Maine Lobster Tails at a future date.
Because of many factors beyond our control, your tails may arrive not fully frozen. While it is okay to refreeze a partially thawed tail, it is best to refrigerate and cook and fully thawed lobster tails within 48 hours.
